Derma Solu Antibacterial Alginate with Silver Wound Dressing is made of silver particles and natural alginates derived from seaweed. Alginates are hydrophilic polysaccharides which means they are polymers of carbohydrates and can absorb water.

High Absorbency & Concentration of Silver
When the dressing is dry, the alginate fibers (in a predetermined ratio of mannuronic and glucuronic acid forms) compose the majority of weight of the dressing. The silver particles compose less than 1% of the weight of the dressing with a concentration of 50 micrograms (μg) per 100 cm2 of the surface area.
